The QualiWORLD Assistive Technology Platform
EVAS offers solutions that provide access to information, communication and environmental controls for people with physical disabilities. Dell™ Desktop or Notebook computers are an integral part of the solution. QualiWORLD, a Windows® compatible software platform, is at the heart of our systems. Now, daily tasks like writing letters, reading documents, communicating verbally, sending/receiving e-mail, using the phone, faxing, surfing the Net, watching TV, listening to the radio, playing DVDs or other Electronic Media, enjoying favorite photographs, playing games or controlling the home environment are all available in a highly customizable solution.
QualiWORLD is available as part of Three Accessibility Suites in Basic, Personal and Advanced levels. QualiWORLD also manages a family of optional plug-in, access specific, application programs. Choose from ten plug-in applications to create a more customized Accessibility Suite. QualiWORLD can be run by ability switches, and pointing devices. Once selected, the preferred access method will control all the applications within the suite, creating a consistent, seamless, easy-to-use solution.

Accessibility is provided through multiple input methods as well as two integrated software packages. QualiKEY replaces the system's standard keyboard and mouse, allowing people with physical disabilities to input text to the various applications. QualiKEY displays a virtual keyboard on the computer screen that can be controlled by a wide variety of ability switches or pointing devices. QualiKEY also includes word prediction, abbreviation expansion and a flexible keyboard editor that can create custom keyboards to improve input. QualiEYE is a software solution designed to replace the system's mouse, providing hands free access to the computer. QualiEYE uses a standard USB Web Camera to track head or body movements and does not require special headgear. Using input from the camera, the software converts the user's motion into on-screen cursor movement, providing precise and efficient cursor control, in real time. In addition, various gestures can be assigned to trigger other input, such as right-click, double-click and more.
Along with QualiKEY and QualiEYE, QualiWORLD provides several other methods of control via switches and mouse clicks including Auto-Scan, Manual-Scan via one or two switch configurations, Auto-Click Mouse, XY-Mouse and Radar-Mouse.

Document Creation
QualiWORD can be used to compose, save, modify, print or read out-loud any document and send it, using other QualiWORLD programs, by fax, e-mail or phone. The program offers a wide range of features that enhance hands free document creation.

Electronic And Verbal Communication
QualiWORLD programs can be used to communicate verbally or electronically. QualiSPEAK is an easy-to-use communication application for anyone who cannot speak or can speak, but with difficulty. QualiSPEAK reads the phrases selected or written by the user out-loud allowing instant verbal communication. QualiMAIL allows the user to fully manage e-mail without a physical keyboard or mouse. QualiFAX can create and send faxes by using one of QualiWORLD's text creation solutions.

Telephone Communication
QualiPHONE is an analog phone application which allows the user to make and receive phone calls without the assistance of another person. People who can speak can handle the conversation through their computer microphone and listen to the other person through the computer's speakers. People with speech impairments, can communicate using the program's speech output. Text can be prepared in advance and stored as a file or created in real-time. The recipient's reply can be heard through the computer speakers. QualiFRIENDS provides access to Internet Telephone Service through Skype.

Internet Access
QualiSURF is an Internet Browser that enables the user to freely surf the Internet without the use of a mouse or keyboard. The user has the freedom to manage the program using one of the mouse replacement or cursor control alternatives offered in QualiWORLD. QualiSURF features Silent Surfing and a Pop-up Killer Option; which prevents questions about upgrades, plug-ins and unwanted advertising from appearing; the user can surf the Internet without interference. Links on web pages are automatically detected and highlighted in sequence when the Auto-Scan feature is enabled. Simply select the desired highlighted link using one of the accessibility methods included in QualiWORLD. The user may enter text on Internet pages using QualiKEY, the virtual keyboard which appears automatically when a highlighted input field is selected. QualiSURF automatically detects the type of the input field on the web. For example, if the selected input field is a Check Box, the software automatically checks it without opening QualiKEY. Internet Addresses can be stored into Favorites Folders. QualiSURF can also read web pages out-loud.

Home Environment
QualiHOME software allows the user to manage any electrical device, such as lights, curtains, electric bed, automatic doors, alarms, sensors, etc. and enables even completely paralyzed people to have full hands-free control over their environment using their personal computer. QualiHOME uses ActiveHome Pro X10 plug-in modules to control the environment. QualiCAM can manage the images of one or more IP Cameras and can display the activities occurring in other areas of the home, or a remote location on the computer monitor, offering a level of security and enjoyment.

Entertainment
QualiTV allows the user to watch TV on the computer monitor and control the volume and TV channels without the assistance of another person or the use of a mouse or keyboard. QualiRADIO allows the user to listen to the radio using the computers sound system and manage the volume and channels. The radio can be listened to while using other QualiWORLD programs. It is compatible with QualiTV and uses the same hardware interface. QualiDVD allows the user to watch and manage any DVD movie directly on the computer screen. QualiALBUM is an application which allows the user to manage pictures and images and create their own Virtual Photo Album. QualiPLAYER is an easy to use media player application which allows the user to play and organize any audio and video file such as music, videos, and movies.
QualiGAMES, which includes Checkers, Chess and Solitaire , allows any user with any physical disability to play against the computer or another player, as well as manage each game and each move, without the assistance of another person or the use of a mouse and keyboard.

QualiWORLD PRO Stand-Alone Applications
QualiKEY, QualiEYE, QualiCLICK, QualiWEB, QualiPHONE and QualiSPEAK are available as stand-alone applications for the Windows® environment.

Alternative Access Technology
EVAS offers a wide range of Alternative Access Technology.  Alternative keyboards such as the IntelliKeys, Half QWERTY and DataLux Models provide specialized keyboard access for people with physical disabilities.  TASH Ability Switches are used to control Access Technology and software applications when hand movement is limited.  Pointing devices such as the Miracle Mouse can also be used to access the computer when movement is restricted.  EVAS is a Certified Applications Solutions Partner for Dragon Voice Recognition Products and can design systems using these programs to control the computer and create documents.  Adjustable Height Workstations are available to provide easy physical access to the computer system and Access Technology.
